Supercharged Application Performance
EMC VFCache puts data closer to the application, caching the most frequently used data on the server-based PCIe card to dramatically improve performance of read-intensive applications.
VFCache sits in the server on the PCIe bus, so data no longer needs to travel through the network to the storage array. Response time decreases and performance increases by an order of magnitude for applications that require the most I/O.

Automated Intelligence
EMC VFCache extends EMC FAST into the server. VFCache automatically adapts to changing workloads by determining which data is most frequently referenced and placing it on the server Flash cache.
VFCache joins FAST to create the most efficient and intelligent I/O path from the application to the data store, creating a true end-to-end tiering solution that optimizes application capacity and performance from the server to the storage.

Total Protection
Other vendors promise only performance with PCIe Flash cards, but EMC VFCache provides performance along with full protection anchored in the storage array.
VFCache uses a write-through algorithm by which writes persist to the back-end storage array. Data is protected by the advanced technologies of EMC networked storage for high availability, data integrity, reliability, and disaster recovery.
